Precision T3600 rtx 3000 series gpu?

Could a Dell precision T3600 handle a 3000 series gpu without too much bottleneck (3060 or 3060 ti)? I saw one of your video where you put a gtx 1080 in this model and I wonder if a gpu from the new serie would be a good idea. I have a Dell precision T3600. Cpu: intel xeon 1650 (base model), 3.8ghz 6 cores 12 threads, 16 gb ddr3 ram 1600 mhz, dell precision motherboard, 625 watts pw supply. I actually have a rx 580 8gb. Im looking forward to play in 1440p. Do you think im too enthousiast? Would a lower end gpu be a better choice? Do I have anything special to consider before upgrading the gpu in this model? Thanks a lot!

  • I would go for it if you can find one at a normal price. Regardless of the bottleneck. You can move the gpu to a new system if or when you get one. I've currently been shopping for a 3060ti to use with my e5-1650v3 cpu which I believe should be matched nicely but I'm not paying triple for a gpu....

    • Rob Frank Thanks for your opinion! I would just be disappointed if I buy a gpu and can't use it to its optimal performance in my build. However, I still think it would be a massive improvement over my rx 580. For finding one, there is a few streams on twitch that look constantly for stock updates. I haven't got any luck yet, but I think its the best way to get one. If you are in the US there is falcodrin stream. I am in Canada and there is war10ck3d that does a similar stream. Hope that helps!
