1080ti in z620 workstation?

Hi in your blog page you mentioned evga 1080ti would work.  This card has a 8pin+6pin.  Will this work in the z620 and if so do you get one 6 pin to 8 pin adapter and use the other 6 pin?  Will the card be starved for power?  I can see the regular 1080 working as that uses the two 6 pin convert to one 8 pin.  I assume the same would work with the RTX 2070 8+6pin requirement?  Thanks in advance.

  • same quesion as AveSmith, but I have the z800.

Already watched JBTicket23's video on using all the available plugs, including the two white molex IDE 4pins in combo for the 6pin and using both the available 6pin PCE males in combo for one 8pin PCE, but wondering if that necessary....   and wondering if the Z800 with the 1110Wpsu could handle dual 1080Ti's ...?       suggestions appreciated.

  • Good morning all.

I am very happy to join you on this superb forum. Bravo for all the work done.

Being the owner of a Z620 workstation ... here is my configuration: 2xE5-2690; RAM 48Gb 12800R; Quadro K2200 GPU ...

I have the opportunity to acquire an EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0 graphics card. this card has 2x 8-pin connectors.

Before finalizing this purchase I would like to be certain that this card will work perfectly if it is connected with two adapters 6 female pins to 8 male pins.

Can someone confirm this for me? Good week everyone and thank you very much.
