Adding more sata power cables to Precision T3610.

Definitely newbie, but I am wanting to add some SATA power connectors to this system. You guys know these workstations and the adapters, tips and mods that will give it more flexibility. I seem to need additional sata power connector to a usb3.1, usb C port out type of PCI adapter.  Additionally, It would be nice to be able to have some power availability on the other side of that case. Thanks for taking the time. Thanks for what you are doing.

  • Hey David Gordon ,

There are 6 x SATA Ports on the T3610 System board.  Although one of the ports is dedicated to the optical drive.

There are only 2 standard HDD slots on the T3610.

You can add these optional cages for more drives:

You could also get creative using adhesives/velcro to mount additional drives in the chassis.

  • Thanks for the help. I need to read up on these beasts. I have 3 sata devices installed/in use and I need to install 3 more(Including a PCI device for USB 3.1 and a  USB C  jacks) that requires an additional SATA power data power. Can't find but 1 additional data power cable unused but no clear way to add any additional adapters. This will be an ongoing Winter Project for me up here in Maine. Been a while since I've been inside a case doing anything.  Thanks again. I have been working off your T3610 tweak pages. Appreciate it.
