HPZ420 Dual GPU Question-Can I combine a Quadro K4000 with a Geforce GTX 1660Ti ?

Hey people,
Apologies, I am pretty new and clueless.
The Z420 I bought came with a K4000 3gb card.

Subsequently, I bought a Zotac Geforce GTX 1660Ti, and just took the other card out.

Now, I've been reading online and thinking (always dangerous) that I could actually have both of them working together (mind blown)

My Z420 has
XEON QC 3.6GHz
16GB RAM
600w PSU

From what I've read the primary card would be the one closest to the processor ( so the top one)

Second question is: Could you good people advise me on whether it's possible to get quieter fans for the case? It's just a little bit loud for my taste atm!

Thanks for your time

Best

Conor

  • I wouldn't mess with HP's cooling as they've got it down pretty well.  You can probably swap out the fans to whatever you want if you get fan adapters from moddiy.
