Hi - I recently got a bought an T7610 with 128GB of RAM and 2 E5-2650v2 processors @2.6GHz.
I can get hold of a pair of E5-2643v1 (SR0L7) very cheap and just wondered if these would offer much of a performance gain ?
ANy thoughts ?
I just asked a question about replacing the original single v2 processor with a pair of v3 or v4 Xeon processors here. Have you pulled off the upgrade with no issue?
Ian Campbell I'd stick with the E5-2650 V2 over the E5-2643 V1. Mainly because of the core count and the fact that the E5-2650 V2 would allow you to use the 1866Mhz memory.
David The T7610 doesn't support V3 or V4 processors.
