Install expanded hard drive cage in T3600
I would like to install 4x3.5" HDDs in my T3600 for an UNRAID server. I know there are solutions that allow you to put one more drive up where the CD Rom drive is. I would rather avoid that. I want to keep that drive and cabling is messy.
I see metal 4 drive cages available all over the place and was wondering if anyone has had luck swapping out the existing 2 drive bay on the bottom of the case with something like that. It looks like you would have to remove the plastic fan ducting on the bottom of the fan stack, but I don't think that would be too big of an issue.

Let me know if you're interested in a custom mod for a workaround. I think the plastic fan ducting you're referring to is the PCI-E Card Retention. I experimented and determined it was useless. My GPU was suffocating. Tossed that plastic junk and relocated the bottom Delta case fan to the opposite side of that cage that houses the 3 fans. It just so happened to free up a 3.5" wide, 7" tall spot where that fan used to be. Enough for one SAS drive and easy path for cables. Chop some more stuff away and maybe it would work. I'm familiar with 7810/5810. Is the T3600 same form factor or a bit different?
