You should be able to fit the 825W PSU from the T5600 馃榿 https://www.dell.com/community/Precision-Fixed-Workstations/Dell-precision-t3600-power-supply-option-2/td-p/6203059

I have been keeping an eye out for a 635 watt PSU after missing out on an ebay deal and today the ebay gods threw me a bone in the form of a 635w NVC7F for $50! Assuming it works I just need the aux cable. Based on the link provided above does this cable appear to be compatible? If so I can save a couple more bucks. :)

Not sure of hand which model of the 635w PSU I have installed, however, I have two 6 pin.
I have a Powercolour RX580 Red Devil installed that has a 6 pin and a 8 pin (300w). I'll list below the cable I used to convert. I've had no issues with the power draw and haven't had any higher than around 190w with GPU running at 100%.
Now when I tested the Vega 64 (two 8 pin) is a different story...... Just fits and boots fine, but as expected the PSU shut down once I tried to load it up 馃槅

Hi guys, (new here) I got a T3610 about a week ago...32GB Ram, Geforce GTX 1060, 1TB SSD and 2TB 7200RPM HDD. I know I saw somewhere that it's best to have the larger PSU as I have the 425W. I called BestBuy and they have a PSU at the store they said will work that's 600W....Although, there chart they had me fill out to figure out what kind of PSU I needed was still around 400-430W.
I'm wondering how that's possible? I feel like I'm pulling a lot of power. Should I run and try to make it to BestBuy by closing time or am I just fine with what I have? ^_^
Thank you guys!

PSU showed up today, a day early. :) Install was very simple and everything plugged right in. Before install I un-installed the AMD drivers and powered down. Swapped the PSU and GPU and fired it up. Unfortunately it did not boot properly until I figured out the GPU wasn't clipped in 100%. After I ensured it was clipped in it fired right up! Very happy. Now if that wasn't enough i'm going to start searching for a cpu upgrade, after I get rid of that pesky case cover bracket.
UserBenchmarks:

RAM: Hynix-00AD HMT325U6EFR8C-PB 4x2GB - 66.9%
MBD: Dell Precision T3600

Good info, thanks! May I ask what 1000W PSU you were able to use in the T3600 or T3610?Sorry about that. A couple of messages up I corrected myself that it was for a T3500/T5500 series (A regular ATX power supply can be fitted for those machines). As for the T3600 series, A 1300w T7600 power supply is pin compatible, but I'm not sure about the T3610 even if it's a small revision.
