Re: T7910 Hi GPU
These CPUs have 4 memory channels each. You now are only using 2 channels/CPU. If you can afford it, you may want to add 4 more memory RDIMMs. This seemed to have a significant effect on throughput…

Re: Dell T7910 Motherboard & Extra Parts
I have a T7910 with a 1Tb samsung 970 evo plus (apparently the evo pro is not worth it for my application). There is no M.2 socket of either NVME or SATA flavor on the T7910 mobo.…

Best Memory for T7910
I put some DDR4 PC2400T ECC RDIMM 2x8 (dual rank) memory in my T7910 and I'm getting passmark memory scores in the 24th percentile. This may be because I bought 16Gb sticks, so I only have 4,…

Re: t7810 ram upgrade
Sorry, you listed your CPU. That 2670 v3 CPU has four memory channels. So I THINK that there might be some advantage to 4x8Gb. (Can anyone confirm?). DDR4 PC4-2133R ECC RDIMM single or dual rank is,…

Re: t7810 ram upgrade
I think that the memory you bought is unbuffered memory (UDIMM). The T7810 only supports registered memory (RDIMM). The T7810 is supposed to support only RDIMM, not UDIMM (and also, not LRDIMM).…

Re: T7910 SAS/SATA drives don't work after installing nvme system disk
But I wanted additional ssd for linux filesystem space and the HDD for reliable backup. But this think is a really nicely made machine. Good on you, Dell!

Re: T7910 SAS/SATA drives don't work after installing nvme system disk
@stormson weathers You figured it out. I think that I turned off the SAS controller to install the nvme drive. Here's what my process should have been: 1) Power up, and check BIOS.…

T7910 SAS/SATA drives don't work after installing nvme system disk
Got a T7910 with no disks. Ordered an Evo 970, but didn't realize there was no built in m.2. slot. So I ordered a x4 PCIE adapter. While I waited I wanted to ensure that the machine worked.…
